iogameguide.com is run by .io game players who got tired of digging through scattered forums for decent strategy tips. So we built the site we wished existed.

James started the site in 2024 after spending way too many hours in Agar.io and Slither.io lobbies. He picks which games to cover, reviews every draft, and makes sure guides actually make sense before they go live.

📋 How We Write Our Guides

No guide goes up on the site without going through these steps:

  1. We play the game first. You can't write a good guide without actually playing. We test mechanics, try different strategies, and figure out what trips up new players.
  2. Structured for real players. Each guide goes: getting started → basic tips → advanced strategies. That's the order players actually need the info.
  3. Reviewed before publishing. James checks every draft — do the strategies work? Is it complete? Can a new player follow along?
  4. Updated when games change. .io games update constantly. We revisit guides when old advice goes stale.
